Why We Exist

Dr. Kourosh Moradi and Dr. Nicole Fallah founded Elevated Healing to solve a critical problem they observed repeatedly in the San Fernando Valley: the compartmentalization of mental health and addiction treatment.

The Problem

Most people struggling with both depression and substance use encounter a broken system. A psychiatrist treats the depression. An addiction clinic treats the drinking. These providers rarely communicate. Treatment plans may conflict. The depression driving substance use—or substance use worsening depression—is never addressed as an interconnected problem.

Patients spend years bouncing between systems. They get worse, not better. They feel like failures because treatment "doesn't work." The truth is, compartmentalized treatment was never designed to address what's actually happening: two interconnected conditions feeding each other.

Co-Founder & COO, PhD, MBA, ACHE

Chief Operating Officer with extraordinary blend of healthcare management expertise, strategic business acumen, and passion for public health. With significant roles at HCA Healthcare, Cedars-Sinai, and UCLA, Dr. Fallah brings deep operational excellence and clinical credibility. Recognized media voice on mental health, developing podcast and YouTube channel to demystify mental health. Driven to prove integration works operationally and clinically.

Dr. Warren Taff

Medical Director, MD, MPH

Board-certified psychiatrist and public health leader with 40+ years of clinical experience. Medical Director for leading behavioral health programs. Graduate of Rutgers University, University of Birmingham, and UCLA School of Public Health. Certified by American Board of Psychiatry and Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Dr. Taff taught as Assistant Clinical Professor at USC and has witnessed firsthand how compartmentalized treatment fails patients. His vision: psychiatric care that is evidence-based, personalized, and genuinely integrated with addiction medicine.

Dr. Elizabeth Karimi

Clinical Director, DMFT, LMFT

Dr. Elizabeth Karimi, DMFT, LMFT, serves as Clinical Director of Elevated Healing Treatment Centers, where she leads clinical programming, supports multidisciplinary teams, and ensures that care across all levels of treatment remains ethical, evidence- informed, and deeply compassionate.

Her leadership philosophy blends clinical excellence with relational presence, fostering a culture of integrity, growth, and meaningful healing throughout Elevated Healing Treatment Centers.
